If you feel you need urgent (non-emergency) mental health support and would like to talk to someone, you can contact the CAMHS Mental Health Helpline - 0800 023 2133

Monday-Friday 5pm-11pm, Weekends & Bank Holidays 9am-11pm. Between 11pm-9am please contact NHS 111, option 2, to access mental health crisis support.

In an emergency: If you or someone else has seriously injured themselves, taken an overdose or are on the point of doing so, call 999 or go directly to A&E.

If you feel a child or young person has additional support needs, but does not meet the threshold for social care, please contact the Early Help team for advice and guidance.

Emergencies

In an emergency, where a child or young person has made a suicide attempt or is thought to have a mental disorder and is presenting a serious risk of harm to themselves or to others, an urgent referral should be made. Emergency referrals should be directed in the first instance to the local Community CAMHS team via the Duty Clinician:

harmLESS is a resource for those who have contact with young people who are self-harming. It is designed to help you talk about self-harm with a young person that you can decide what support might be useful.

Wiltshire Health Schools

Wiltshire Healthy Schools is a Wiltshire Council programme supporting schools to address the health and wellbeing of children and young people.

The programme clarifies the actions all schools can take to promote the health and wellbeing of young people, from universal prevention and education to targeted interventions and treatment.
