Children’s Mental Health Awareness week is happening all week; however we also believe that EVERY week should be about our children’s mental health. Here at Barnardo’s Healthy Minds we want to encourage all of our children and young people, our families, our carers and our communities to work together to support each other as best we can.

We have some great resources always on our website and we would encourage everyone to take a look.

The theme for the awareness week 2022 is ‘Growing Together’

It’s all about exploring the idea of growing emotionally and thinking about ways to help each other grow.  There are lots of lovely resources available to help promote this week for example from Place2be https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/growth-stories/

Many people are getting involved, even the Duchess of Cambridge will be reading the CBeebies bedtime story this Sunday when she will read ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’ by Jill Tomlinson.

Here are more book recommendations to help support mental health issues and available in local libraries.
